Iconography Project Progress
Iconography Progress
The Cathedral’s expansion project included a first phase of beautiful iconography by the world-renowned Iconographer Manolis Kavallaris from Athens, Greece. Mr. KavallarisĀ has committed to an extended phased approach to completing the remaining iconography which will be executed during the summer months. Currently the Cathedral’s walls and dome are adorned with grand images depicting the life of Christ, the Theotokos, Christ’s disciples, the Evangelists, the Prophets and much more! Included to date (March 2024) in our Raising the Cross initiative are the Platytera, both sides of the altar, Iconostasis (Altar screen), the four pendentives and the spaces between.
